About the Role:
Join the vibrant culinary team at Oakland Yacht Club as a Line Cook! We are looking for passionate individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and are eager to create memorable dining experiences for our members and guests.


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure food safety and sanitation.
  • Assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Participate in training and mentoring new kitchen staff.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role.
  • Knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Food Handler's Certification or equivalent is preferred.
  • Passion for culinary arts and commitment to quality food preparation.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
